The Canadian city of North Vancouver is located on the northern shore of Burrard Inlet. Of all the North Shore municipalities, it has the smallest land and is the most urbanized. The city is regarded as a suburb of Vancouver while having a sizable independent sector of its own, including shipping, chemical production, and film production.
